BASELINE ASSESSMENT

Fulcrum Partners begins every client relationship with a fixed-price, initial Baseline Assessment. The Baseline Assessment is a discovery and action planning phase that prepares the owner to take control of the M&A process. This phase begins with formal identification of owner objectives, determines the readiness of the business to achieve ownership objectives, and sets the foundation for a viable action plan.

The Baseline Assessment is also an iterative educational and training phase. While Fulcrum Partners investigates the business and owner objectives, the owner learns how an outside party will value the business, how different variables affect the value of the business, and in a broad sense what options are available to meet their personal and financial objectives, whether by expansion of the business or transition of ownership.

Fulcrum Partners brings together a practical experience in operational management, extensive transactional experience, sophisticated financial modeling tools, and a broad network of professional advisors to prepare owners to make the most effective decisions on how to achieve their objectives.

The Baseline Assessment is effectively a Go/No Go milestone. If the owner believes they can achieve their objectives, they engage Fulcrum Partners to market their business through the firm's Intermediary Services. If they determine the business is not ready, Fulcrum Partners works with them to develop an action plan to move the business to where it needs to be.
